Tinnitus Support Derbyshire provides compassionate tinnitus support for people across Chesterfield, Derbyshire and North Derbyshire. We help you understand the emotional impact tinnitus can have, including feelings of stress, anxiety, frustration, or worry, and support you in developing healthier responses to it.
Our service offers practical advice and guidance on effective ways to manage tinnitus and reduce its impact on your daily life.
As well as providing information and support for tinnitus sufferers throughout Chesterfield and the wider Derbyshire area, we are here to listen. Talking to someone about your concerns, anxieties, or the distress tinnitus may cause can be therapeutic in itself and can help you feel more confident and in control.
Find out more about our storyTinnitus is the conscious awareness of a sound that is not due to an external source and affects about 1 in 8 of the population. Tinnitus is rarely a sign of a serious underlying condition. For some people it may come and go and only be a minor irritation. However, it can sometimes be continuous and have a significant impact on everyday life. Severe cases can be very distressing, affect concentration and cause problems such as difficulty sleeping (insomnia) and depression.
